Assignments for the week of 1/25/-1/29

Mr. Esterby art classes the week of January 25th-29th.
3D Con.- Plaster/Clay relief- students will construct a mold out cardboard and fill with clay.  Next,  they will manipulate clay into the form they choose (nature).  When finished with clay application student will mix and pour plaster into mold.  After plaster sets we release the plaster from the clay.  The next  step we can trim pieces we don’t want on the wall hanging.  Final step-paint.
Draw- Class will be constructing their very own skull head out of paper mache.  We will be using all sorts of supplies for this assignment.  Paper mache, xacto knives, beads, glitter, paint,
etc.  Brainstorm and examples of Day of the dead.  Most will take on the appearance of Day of the Dead.
Art 1- Intro to painting
1. color wheel, mix paint correctly to mix all the colors of the color wheel.
2.  Intensity scale, mix paint correctly to get the best scale you can paint.  Example, white to black with all the grays inbetween.
